Cells are the smallest unit of life, but that doesn’t mean they are simple! This course explores the structures of different cells and how these structures enable them to perform specialised functions. Learners will also discover some important cellular processes, including cell division, differentiation, and transport.
This course is aligned with the learning objectives of international Biology curriculums. It also provides an excellent foundation for anyone who wants to understand the key principles of cell biology and how they apply in the real world.
Free Augmented Reality App With Each Course
Learners can use a smartphone like a microscope to inspect and examine 3D scientific and mathematical models. Parents, fellow learners and teachers can share this experience. With video conferencing capabilities, this radically changes how one can learn as a group and individually.

About the Course
Cell Structure and Function
This module covers cell structure and function. Here we will cover the cell, microscopy, cell structure and a summary.
We will discuss the process of cell division. This includes defining chromosomes, understanding the cell cycle and the process of mitosis, and the function of stem cells.
Transport in Cells
We will discuss the important process of transport in cells, which describes any movement of substances within and between cells. We will discuss three modes of transport across the cell membrane — diffusion, osmosis, and active transport.
